    Filming from a tripod?

Bow hunting from a tripod this year. It's a woodsey. Has a small platform with expanded metal for my feet while sitting. Anyone know of a setup that works well for a camera while hunting out of a tripod. There's isn't a tree near enough to screw a camera arm in to. They're all about 3-4ft away from me. Didn't know if there's anything that clamps to the platform or something. Will use a camera tripod out of the rifle blind. But won't work on the tripod.

Trophy tool isn't tall enough. Need the camera to be at least as high as my knees when sitting. And clamp down by my feet. But it looks like a well-made product. I found something on Amazon for a go-pro that is essentially a "snake" like riser coming off a clamp. It's 27" tall and reviews said it's pretty stiff. Should easily hold my 8oz camcorder. For $20 I'll give it a try. Just have to by a $5 converter for it to take it from go pro mount to standard threaded camera mount.

One option is to buy the gun rest attachment (I assume they still make it) that mounts to the base of the seat and extends up between your legs. Add a Bogen Super Clamp (or similar) to attach a tripod head/camera to the horizontal part of the rest. It works well and you can swivel your seat to pan, but you also typically get a little bit of movement/vibration at the shot.

            Filming from a tripod?

I saw a guy selling one for s woodsey on here. Specifically a camera arm he rigged from the bow holder they sell. But I don't remember seeing any way to attach a bow holder or gun rest underneath my seat. Maybe I have a really old tripod? I don't know. Bought it used off a guy about 5-6 years ago. And they looked old then.

I'll know for sure tomorrow when I get to the lease. If it has a way to attach a gun rest, etc

I could see how that works. But I really want something that attaches by my feet and rises up between my knees. So that's about 24-28" tall. Rather not be reaching down to my ankles to control the camera. Also, probably can't see the feeder/deer from down there.

I made these for Brett and I to use at our lease. I have a few extra if you are interested. They clamp on with a C clamp at the bottom, so they will clamp to just about anything. The bow holder part will adjust up and down and can also be used as a rest for a crossbow shot. The silver part is a quick attach that goes on to your fluid head and then your camera. You can easily attach it in the dark With little or no noise. They work great we have been using them for years.

Yes those are the best gadgets ever for bow hunting tripods or hang on stands.

I clamp it on the Rail, or seat by my left elbow. Not down by my feet. The arm is long enough its away from you but very easy to adjust with little movement if necessary. You can even raise up so it at shoulder height if you want.

Won't clamp on my style seat. Mine is molded plastic and the lip is turned down. Not horizontal. And I don't have any rails. Only place to clamp anything is the platform my feet go on. Kinda limited.
