    redneck yeti

Been raining a lot so I had time to pt this together. I already own a RTIC which didn't impress on first trip. So I had this 90 qt Igloo that had come out of my boat just collecting dust. I got one sheet of styrofoam insulation and a tube of waterproof silicone caulk. Couldn't find 1" thick so I just used 2-1/2" pieces siliconed together. I went ahead and taped the top up. How many qt ice chest is it now?

Spray the interior w flex seal. Give it that true final touch.

Haven't tried it yet. Just put it together yesterday and want the silicone to adhere and dry good.

Cool! With what you saved on a "real" Yeti, you can make 100 of those.

Oddly interested in seeing this after spraying with flexseal and hearing how it works.

Sorry bout that, it's on the lid. I received a Yeti Rambler as a service award and sticker came with it. I wouldn't buy one.
Je3749, TBH sticker on RTIC, that one I did buy.

Sweet. With how I abuse coolers with fish and schrimp it would be very hard to clean.

Water actually accelerates the curing of silicone. Silicone and super glue both cure by absorbing moisture from the air.

Awesome idea. I just cant see dropping the cash for a yeti but I'll try this if it works.
