    skull mount help!

I soaked my skull 2days in 20% peroxide liq and still had a few spots that were off white, so i used 20% peroxide cream and used on it for 1.5 days and just looked at it and still have a few off white spots on it. They are between the eyes on top of the skull. Has anyone ever had a skull that will not bleach out white all over? Any ideas???

    thanks

That's grease ... you need to get all the grease out before it'll get completely white.

Go down to Sally's Beauty Supply and buy the 40% peroxide cream. they also have a developer that you can mix with the peroxide. The little package of develloper is about $5. Pour into ever hole. I use a 1 inch paint brush to apply it to the outer parts of the skull. Let it set a couple of days and wash it off. this should do the trick. Some skulls will have yellow spots behind the back teeth that are hard to get rid off. I've taken a small drill bit (1/8") and drilled a hole back there and poured the cream in it. Hope this will help

I've never had a skull come out of the peroxide totally white, but when I let it dry in the sun, it does turn all white.

You can use the normal 3% perioxide and buy some magnesium carbonate for cheap, mix the two together then paste it on there for 2-3 days, inside somewhere out of the rain or what not but still geting some sunlight and wash off, should be plenty white.

Soaking it to long makes the bone break or fall apart easy. Super glue works great.

I soaked mine in 20% for a day and it came out nice and white, but it stills smells a little rotten. What can i do to get rid of that smell?

Seal it with a clear matte spray. It might help. Must have missed some meat or cartlidge

The nose piece falling off is no big deal. Use super glue or I've even used Hot Glue. Works good on loose teeth also.

the best way i have found to work is cleaning as much as possible then boiling, right after hit it with a pressure washer(this will take everything off) dont use the high powered heads though, and after that use your bleaching agent whatever that might be.
