    Great Examples of Age

Just been on TBH a few times tonight playing the "age game" to help others determine ages.

Within the bucks shown just tonight represents what I believe to be very good examples of young to mature bucks. Someone correct me if they think I'm off.

I stole y'all's photos for this.

    I'll start with 2.5:

I think you are pretty close, however location in the state and knowing your individual deer herd and the time of the year play a big factor too. Just look at the pics of south Houston county/Trinity/Walker compared to north Houston County/Anderson County or STX like the golden triangle to SE Texas deer from Jefferson and Hardin.

Not to hijack, but I like this set I made showing the progression of the same buck from 2.5 to 4.5. I call it "Let Em Walk":

                        I think you're spot on.

Reminds me of the age study I did of the age of various bucks visiting a community scrape last year: http://discussions.texasbowhunter.co...d.php?t=541280

But now I'm upset with you.
I'm gonna end up wasting a lot of time on the computer trying to do the same thing now.
