As a rule of thumb I plant usually the third week of September when the highs top out in the 80's. I am now currently in Oklahoma, but used this rule all over Texas as well and it always proved useful!Comment

Last part of September or early October. I will till it up mid Sept and then wait for rain in the forecast. A day or 2 before a big chance of rain I will seed, fertilize, and drag. Not a perfect science but it has produced results in the past.Comment
