    Let's see your welding trailers

Have a Miller Bobcat that I have been looking at mounting on a trailer.

Have not been able to find a suitable trailer in my price range so decided I might just build one from scratch.

Interested in what improvements you would make or any additional features you would want

Need to keep single axle and fairly compact as it will be used mostly around the farm, probably pulled with Samurai or ATV. But also able to be pulled down the highway when needed

Lead rack on the back. Oxy fuel on top of rack and in front of welder. Two tool boxes alon the side and a tray for scraps.

While I work off a truck, I have designed and helped build several trailers in my shop for young weldors just getting started. It is a great design and has massive tool storage under the bed. With a material rack, you could haul material as well as build with it when you get to the job. Here is a picture of one that is mostly finished . It doesn't have the rack on it yet and isn't painted.

Hey i'm a overhead door installer and also rig my own trucks and trailers and i like your slide out tray design .My grandpa did kinda the same thing with slide out trays on a flatbead. Except he used 3 inch overhead door rollers on the sides. Awesome! And it looks like you shoot trad. Me too. Sweetness

Speaking as a guy who built his own trailer many many years ago (which I still have), if there was one thing I would change, it would be to get the work surface up to a workable height. I made a ton of money on the side with that rig, which is also a Bobcat 225 with a Hobart arc stabilizer for TIG welding aluminum.

Can't post pics but we used a small enclosed and fabbed the exhaust out the side, leads and torch are all on reels. Less chance of theft when no one knows what's inside it.

Oh there's a lot I need to do to this! Gonna take everything off and have it blasted so I can paint. Then it's time to restore the machine. Not really gonna do much till my shop is built, hopefully in the next 6 months.
