Ya rinse them off in water, and just a little soap. Then I usally let them dry. They will look all messed up, but then run them through steam. I use steam from the tea pot on the stove. Run them back and forth and twist the shaft, don't hold in one spot to long. Seems to fluff most them back to good shape.

I use Joy dish soap, little water and rinse with Hydrogen peroxide. Blow the feathers dry with a hair dryer? Straighten them as you dry them.

Sounds like good advise above. I can add one thing that I do, that is coat fletching with Camp Dry. This keeps feathers in better shape when they're wet along with making them easier to clean with hot water and dish soap after they get dirty.

What they said, but my sticks come back in two pieces most of the time so I dont worry about it much.

I have done most of the things suggested. I usually just re-fletch, but I don't have the oportunity to hunt a lot of hogs, so I only mess up a few during deer season.

If you clean them like said above, they will work just fine. I have never been able to get all the stain out and they look ugly, but work just fine. I usually refletch them when I fletch some new arrows.

This is pretty much the way I do it. I will hold the arrow by the point end and shake it vigorously a few times during the steaming process.
