    Help with shooting and something else!!

    I shoot split fingers and was trying to do some gap shooting, at 30 yards here was my grouping after determining my point on was right below the ball target. Is it really necessary to change my shooting style to 3 under if im gonna gap shoot?

    Oh and i need some more help, how do i keep the dishwasher from putting these awful spots on my dishes and silver ware.? I tried everything anyone know of a home remedy to solve my dilemma? Its really embarrassing when we have guest like we did tonight? It is archery related I got frustrated and broke a glass than napped a arrow head out of it!!!

    Haha! Love the glass head. Im guessing its not a screw in?

    Get with Draco on here for the gap shooting. Actually he has a pretty good sticky on the subject. So read that then shoot him a pm. He is a very good teacher.

      Wow you stink on ice......







      I would think 3 under would move the arrow up closer to your eye and help with he gap shooting but I really have nothing of value to add

      Have your wife wipe the dishes dry and you will get rid of those awful spots

        If you want to get rid of the spots.......get a water softener.

        I don't get gap so I can't help you out on that one.

          thats what i told the wife. I sold water softners. But we are renting i poured vinegar and see how that works.

                Sorry, I never heard that "catch phrase" before. Brother we all have those days...

                Try some blank bale shooting. Blank bale equals getting close to your target and concentrate on form and not accuracy. Break your shot sequence down; grip, string hold, draw to same anchor, good follow through after your shot (or whatever sequence works for you). Don't worry about where your arrow hits, just use the same shooting form each time. Good form, bad form, each can work as long as you do everything consistent. Of coarse getting coached on good form sure takes years off the learning curve. I was once told by one of the trad greats that I was an OK shooter for somebody that does just about everything wrong I am a more consistent shooter after attending Rod Jenkins clinic.

                Like Buff also mentioned 3 under will get you to gap shooting with a lot less gap between your tip and target When I started 3 under it was so awkward after shooting split for most of my life, but I finally got used to it. Give 3 under an honest try and see what you think, it's obviously not for everyone

                    Before you get to set on gap shooting, try shooting in very low light, for me it was pretty much like trying to find your pins in the dark. Not saying do or don't just trying to add some foresight.

                            I went at it again tofday and was able to group nside the.ball about 4 arrows.

                              Are you completely against shooting 3 under. I went back and forth for a while and then settled on 3 under. Works for me, just a more forgiving release
