    Arrow inserts

Took a bad shot and bent my insert. How do you go about removing those, so I can salvage the arrow?

What was it glued in with? Hot melt, super glue?

Well. Put a field tip in it. Heat the field tip a tad and pull the crap out of it.

ok, I will give that a try, thanks. I wasn't sure if there was a special way to get these out without ruining the arrow.

The arrow might already be ruined. There might be cracking around the insert that you can not see.

Any way to know? I might just have to chunk it. Don't want to take any chances with a carbon arrow

Pull the nock out, put a drill bit inside that barely fits and sling the arrow up and down. The drill bit will work like a slide hammer and knock out the insert.
