I will never go back. 6 of us went last April we all had a great time. We all rebooked for December 08'. Last week we got a confirmation email from Bar E, giving us our deadline for our deposits. We were notified in this email about the new $500 replacement fee for the animal on top of the $600 for the two days. I will bet they have plenty of openings. -

I just hunted Bar E the last weekend of dec and saw lots of exotics we shot a small axis 16" blackbuck broke sika and a hog. They were very nice and the cabin and kitchen area was the best I ever had. We did book for August of 08, they said that was the best time to go there for Fallow or Axis. Also the increase on the price is only on whitetails not exoticsComment

What are the hunting conditions out there?
Tree stand? Ground blind? Do you have to provide your own blind?Comment

they have tripods and ladder stands. All great setups for bowhunting. I've been twice and love the place. I'll definately go back for exotics. It was a heck of a deal to pay $600 because you could take any exotic or WT deer and they had some monsters. I understand why they increased their WT hunts but I won't do the WT package anymore because I have plenty of WT deer to kill at home now. The Zimmermans are great folks and they have great accomodations. I can't wait to go hunt with them again.Comment

www.bareranches.com try this, i had a group of guys go back in November and i was the only one who killed anything !!! We had a great time and all of the accomidations are great and the Zimmermans are great people.
The only thing that i have negative to say about the place is they had just recently got these big white dogs that have free run of the ranch, for the coyotes , and they screwed up two out of my four hunts !!! No one else killed and three of the six guys said they'd never go back but i think i would if i got the chance !!! That's my .02 cents !!Comment

I think I would have been hunting a white dogs. Thats a lot of money to pay for dogs to screw everything up. Was your kill a ram? I now they have a lot of em' when I was there, If they could have jumped high enough they would have jumped in the truck with us. The rams would literally chase the truck as we drove around corning!Comment

We just hunted down there in Jan. We had a really good time. I wouldnt so much call it hunting though. Like said before, alot of the rams just chase the truck. But if you have it in your head, that it is just for fun, then you will have a good time. Good lodge and good stands..Comment
