Well I got my first buck kill this weekend..
I got to the trailer Friday evening, got everything set up to get out early in the morning and get in the tripod.. As soon as the alarm went off I was up and ready to ge out there an see what would be coming up to the feeder.. To my suprize there were 10 doe and 2 small bucks that came in... I didnt get a shot off any of them figured the bucks could use a few more years and we have all season on the does so they could wait as well...
I pidled around Angelo for a few hours and decided to try my luck again seeing as the wind was blowin horribly.. I got in the stand at about 4:45 and my feeder went off at 5:30, by 6:15 nothing had shown up and i was about to give up thinking the wind ruined everything till I see a tail fliker to the right of the stand at 50 yrds and it a doe.. I wait a few min and she comes running in right at me, my first thought was that something spooked her till around a ceder came a buck hot on her trail.. They stoped and checked out the corn I had laid out that morning. After a 10 min the doe was makeing her way to the feeder I knew if she got to far the wind would blow my scent right to her and they would be long gone, till the buck made his move on her and she did a u-turn the opposite direction and left him open for the shot.. As I stood up and pulled back I did everything i could think of to calm my self to take the ,, Took a deep breath and let er fly and hit right were I aimed. The tracking was short I seen him go down about 30 from the shot....
SORRY ABOUT THE LONG READ
IM NOT SURE HOW TO GET IMAGES ON HERE SO IF ONE OF YOU GUYS WANTS TO HELP OUT I WOULD APPRICIATE IT
