gonna share another of my favorite kitchen & food recipes with the TBH gang and gangettes ... hi Mary and Hilly
Seasoned Flavored Butter (spread or squares)
ingredients
- 2 sticks of butter per flavor .... I prefer salted butter as you can use unsalted if you have health issues
- favorite fresh seasonings .... chives, taragon, mint, basil, rosemary, dill, cilantro, honey, lemon , lime , garlic, etc..... use your imagination
- fresh cracked black pepper corn
- chili powder
- Barnacle Dust
- etc......
pictured are Rosemary & cracked black pepper corn butter and Chipolte & Chili pepper butter with a dash of Barnacle Dust
- let sticks of butter set at room temperature for several hours until soft
- you can then finely chop your desired seasonings (peppers , chilis, rosemary, etc...)
- add seasonings to butter and stir until blended together
- use a silicon scraper / spatula to pour and spread flavored butter on wax paper
- spread butter out evenly and place in freezer for 10 minutes until semi-hard
- remove butter and score into 1" squares .... put back in freezer for 30 minutes
- remove butter from freezer, re-cut squares and store in zip lock or plastic container ... refreeze
next time you cook a steak, grill fish, bake a potato, hot french bread, etc.....
.... add a few squares of the seasoned butter to your groceries and it will wake your taste buds up ... BOO-YA !!! Hi Oscar
