Muzzy broadhead vs G5 Montec

I am considering changing from a Muzzy to the G5 for this season.

Recommendations?

Have both, used both, like both. I am shooting the Montecs right now because I got a hold of some 140 gr oddballs. If you shoot the G5's, I'd recommend sharpening them first.

Muzzy fan here. Zips thru everything I’ve ever shot and tough as nails!! Haven’t killed with a montec so no help there.

I like the G5s. Fly really true to fieldpoints. But as said above, your gonna need to sharpen them right out of the box.

I have had no experience with either broadhead. I am now shooting Iron Wills and previously I exclusively shot SlickTrick Magnums.

However, oddly enough, on my recent moose hunt, two other hunters shot moose and never found them. One shot a Muzzy and the other was shooting a Montec. I don't know about the Muzzy, but the montec was definitely believed to have been a double lung pass through. Tracked for 2+ miles with TONS of blood, but never were able to find him. I felt bad for that hunter.

G5 Striker is similar to Muzzy or Slick Tricks. The replaceable blades are wicked sharp. I like any of them. Montec isn't sharp enough.

Shoot both. Killed with both. I like the resharpening factor of the G5s...but Muzzys are dang cheap enough to swap out the blades when they get jacked up. I vote stay with Muzzy.

I would buy muzzy again in a pinch, won’t buy another pack of the montec g5’s
