Default What is Success?

What is your definition of a successful life? I thought I'd ask this question to the brotherhood this morning.

How do you prepare for successful life on a daily basis?

For me it is being content and having children you are proud of. It cannot be measured by fame or fortune.

Following Christ, leading my wife and children to Him. The rest pretty much gets taken care of after that. I strive to be a productive member of society by performing well at my job and contributing to my community.

Waking up healthy, loving your wife and kids, enjoy your hobbies and don't let money be more important than anything.

Success to me is being able to look at myself in a mirror with a clear conscience
Providing for my wife and kids
Earning respect from my family, friends and employers

I found my philosophy of life in the following poem-

Any man can father a Lassie or a Lad,
but it takes a special man to be a cowboy dad.
Right and wrong, and do’s and dont’s,
we all undergo temptation,
But the way a child best learns respect,
Is from a Dad with a good reputation.
