    Modified my climbing stand

Items used were an old climber that I will probably not use as a climber again, 6"x6" steel plate, econo seat post, eze swivel and a boat seat.

I welded the plate to the cross rails on the under side after drilling bolt holes.
All that was left was to bolt everything up and put a new paint job on it.

I need to tear the tags from under the seat

note the spike that the cable is resting on. I also wired the side to the tree to keep it from shifting

As you can tell from this pic, it makes an excellent gun stand

Nice job. I have an old climber, that I may just have to modify.

I can always take the post off and use it as a climber if I need to.

Big iron, I don't know if that was you up in the tree, but we care about your well being. PUT A HARNESS ON !! Your mods are cool, but not wearing a safety harness is not. Please! For the kids.

Gotcha, thanks for the concern. I have all the safety equiptment installed now. I actually put my harness strap on the branch behind me right after the pic was taken.

                          Very nice, Corey!

Were you wearing your Mandals in that pic?
(I can't wait to make some of those when my boots wear out).

                          You've got some nice ingenuity.

                              Great idea.

I have a lounger that the squirrels chewed the seat up on that I can do that to.
