Stolle and I, along with most of our Drilformance City Sales Team, were required to attend a mandatory training on a 3000 acre ranch in Zavala county, starting today through Sunday. Of course, morning and afternoon hunts are on the agenda, as well!
I was surrounded by deer shortly after I climbed into a tree stand, situated about 8 feet atop a mesquite tree overlooking a sendero, so I wasn't able to post until now. There were several does and a few non shooter bucks for about 20 minutes before one of the does blew and they all scattered.
A couple of youngsters are back, eating casually at 15 and 20 yards.
The tree stand is facing head on to the shooting lane, which will make it a bit tricky getting drawn, but I think it's doable.
I'll provide updates (on the hunting part) as the weekend progresses.
