    Thompson Temple Picture Request Help

not sure where to post this, so the campfire should work.

this is not another, "where to go shoot a ram thread", rather, looking for animal specific pics.

on the website, i know each grade / quality of ram has different colored tags with corresponding prices.

for those that have been, can you please post a pic of your ram and either the TAG color and/or price. my request is to see what caliber animal you get according to what you pay for.

i'm wanting to book a trip for myself and 1 or 2 kiddos, and need to know how much money i should take with me

any help will be sincerely appreciated.

Also keep in mind the price/ear tag is based on the size of the ram when it was released. If the ram survives for a while and gets huge you still pay the price of the tag it had when it was released.

There were several $190 Merinos that were huge. They fight a lot and knock there tags out.

Merinos and Catalinas are the two cheapest rams for Thompson to buy, as well.
There are usually silver medal Merinos, that never had tags.
Occasionally, you can find a tagless gold medal merino.

Also, it is better ( with teens ) to hunt out of blinds at TT, or spot / stalk ? Thanks

I've got a huge no tag merino that would go silver at least, maybe gold, and Kaitlin has killed a full curl mouflon with no tag as well as what Thompson called an "Ibex type" that I thought was a Catalina that went bronze but was right on the border of silver, also no tag.

I'll attempt to post a picture here of a $190 Texas Dahl I shot in November. This was in an area where they sometimes come in from a difficult access area of the ranch (Stand at the end of the Valley from L-1). If they survive the intial couple of months, They can become good trophies in the Back area where it is difficult but enjoyable ... Put on your hiking shoes and be In shape ... Lol.
