My friend shot this buck and he is by himself at the lease.
He has trailed decent blood for 100 yards and it has petered out. You know how that south Texas sand can be.

You should at least have a blood trail with that hit, but shooting from the ground may have put the wound too high to bleed out

Zig zag back in fourth that deer is within 200 yards from that stand if he waited 30 mins. My 10 yo found both he killed last year by walking he couldn't wait on me to trail it. Good luck keep us updated
