Default Browning TC reviews please

Just purchased a Browning Range Ops (BTC-1) trail camera and wondered if anyone on the green screen has used these. 6mp, 50+ IR flash, less than a second trigger time. $120 at academy. Thought about stepping up to a Bushnell but that would have required more dineros. These are suppose to be fairly new to the market and the price was right for the features listed.

As always, thanks for the input.

If it starts with Brown and ends with Ing it's prolly worth about half of what they are charging. Im excluding their firearms.

Im jus sayin its true. I have some Browning stuff. Love the Logo. But for instance hoodies cost twice as much with the Buck Mark. I doubt browning is even making that cam, but only one way to see if its worth anything!!!

Yep, I figured I'd give it a go. 6 months from now I may be wishing I paid the extra money for a higher end camera. Only time will tell. I'm guessing that someone on here has already tried them out.

Default The jury has returned a verdict!

Ragin was ABSOLUETLY correct. This camera is junk. I was terribly grainy and it had a horrible time trying to switch from night/day. The pics would jump back and forth from b&w to color and then just go all black about 30mins after sunup. I've had much cheaper cameras perform much better than what this one did. I had it out for about two weeks and pulled it off of the tree yesterday. Now it's back to Academy to upgrade to a Bushnell.

Thanks for the review. I was seriously considering getting it. http://www.trailcampro.com/browningrangeopsreview.aspxgave it glowing reviews so now I'm looking at the Covert cams.

The Browning camera is a Moultrie with a buck mark on it. They just changed the case slightly and have a different info strip on the bottom of the pics. I had considered one until I found this out and since I swore off anything Moultrie years ago it was a deal breaker for me.

I have the Range and so far so good. Night pics a little grainy but it's good enough. Battery life seems ok for now.

Got one of these about 2 weeks ago and put it out, pulled card and night pics are worse than the WGIs I have owned

Put card back in it and going to give another week and then decide if I am going to take it back. Kept receipt, packaging and plastic bag it came in

BTW I paid $89

Don't make that mistake either. I bought two of the MP6 Black IR at the Hunter's Extravaganza and they take the worst pictures of any camera manufacturer I have ever used. I just bought 2 of the new E2 Cuddebacks today to replace them.

I run 3 Brownings, range ops, strike force, and recon force....all three have been great. Good battery life and pics are plenty good for me. My buddy just bought one it wasn't working properly out of the box. I guess it's like most things you purchase now days, some work great and some are junk. Luck of the draw. I hate WGI, but I have a timer going on 5 years and doesn't miss a beat and a camera that's going on 4 years that still kicking. I will buy another browning come spring.

If you are getting grainy pictures or not having good performance UPGRADE the camera software!!!!

It's easy to do, go to the browning site, download the update and follow the instructions.

I'm using a bunch of these cameras with great results.

I bought a Browning and the motion sensor did not work right out of the box. Took it back to Academy & ordered a Covert Black 60 online.

looks like the SPecial Force and Recon Force XR are the 10mp cameras in these and amazing reviews and quality!

$130 with the performance of a $200+ camera
