the weather was as good as we could have wanted. Now, we really didn't have a tornado, but, on Sunday morning there was a heck of a wake up call to get everyone up and going for breakfast

I am working on the pictures, so one here for you to figure out. Why would a blow up boat be in a tree across the river?

And, THE provider of protein (Sorry Kenneth I didn't get one of you alone; Kenneth is on the right) Wiz and Kenneth are the reason the group of 26 last count I did, had such a great meal on Saturday for lunch. Thanks again you two for your dedication to staying in the boat for hours on end to provide the fish.

Looks like a great time. Much better turnout than last year.

It makes me sick that I missed it - except that I was on the trip of a lifetime to Argentina, so I guess I'll get over it. I will definitely engage in better planning next year.

Looks like it was too much fun. I hope the two fishermen got to get the 1st, plate of food.

Now, on to the "Rest of the Story"

Yes, it is a fact, I shot two, yes TWO stinking hogs on Friday night and after hours on blood trails both Friday night and then continued first light on Saturday morning, both hogs went unrecovered. Any one that says that hogs at granger have poor eye sight, I would have to beg to differ. On Friday right at dark, I watched a hog come strolling by only to come to full draw and at 25 yards, he stopped dead in his tracks and spun and picked me off in the briars and brush as if I was standing there with a neon light on my head. I decided to sneak on between his shoulder and head and watched the arrow bury and he, with his tusks, snap of half of the arrow. Great walking blood trail then bam, a blood trail that disappeared and 5 people could not pick it back up again.

Second hog, again, seemingly great shot. Bloody arrow, great blood trail and over 1.5 miles into it, I called it as we were on the boarder of private property. So, two hogs, one evening and no pork on the pole.

Even though I had a HUNK of an admirer leave me an autographed calender at my tent, I am sad to say that "Billy" didn't stay around for a slap on the ***. Don't worry, the pictures are sure to follow if you ain't following the post.....

                    Dahmar.... ol Dahmar...... YOUR NEXT!

So what do you do with a blow up boat in the middle of the woods when there is no one watching....... CAUSE HE IS HUNG OVER IN HIS TENT!?

                    Well, you hid it

With out mentioning names, two guys of the group decided that taking Justin's boat to the other side of the river would be a great prank for the morning laugh. Well, once to the other side, the thought came to mind that it would be even funnier if the boat was tied UP IN THE TREE across the river......

Whom ever pulled this prank, decided to lay out the paddles, life jackets and a bag in the exact place ol Justin's boat was placed in safe place the night before.

Now, I have no idea how I always seem to come into the picture when Justin (Dahmer) has a prank played on him, but.......

                          With ear plugs in, 50 yards from the "launch site" and at 6:10 on Sunday morning, I hear;

"WILDMAN, YOU SON-OF-A-*****!" come echoing from Dahmer's lungs!

Of course, not knowing what is going on I jumped out of bed wondering what was happening.

Well, being the kind guy I am, I let him borrow my boat to go and retrieve his blow up boat.

While in the boat-fishing-i swear, i saw a granger hog going running -not swimming-Running across the water!.....
This weekend was the Bomb! I enjoyed every minute of the Granger Ranger Extreme getdown ,sure would have been nice to have some open fired pork, but the fish sure hit the spot ..
Hogkiller(Ken) and I, had the best fishing trip to date.We fished hard! While the other fisherman were struggling to catch fish, God blessed us with a live well fill of white bass and crappie to feed everyone..
Just wish Ken had more of them soft shad jigs,we would have had more fish.
                            I didn't get many pictures,but heres what i got....
