I'm in the same stand this evening. They had an atv breakdown, so I was going to initially jump in the truck with the other guys and head outside of town. Eric and his son thought about other options, David (son) decided he could take me to the stand in his truck. However another surprise sufficed! Someone left the lights on and ran the battery down. So we rolled out here in "white lightning" our sweet soccer mom dodge caravan rental. This hunt has to turn around tonight. I drew my buddy Jay and fellow field staffer at CCR, I'm pumped.

Shawnj shot a big one but they didn't find it yet. They'll resume the search in the morning.

I saw a HUGE bear, but he just passed slowly by at THREE yards and disappeared into the woods, never even paying attention to the bait.

The pairing is between a hunter and an arrow with a TBH members name on it. Kind of like a virtual hunt partner.

We followed the blood trail up hill for 200 yards. Found about five places where he bedded down. The last spot had a large plug of blood, after that it was over. We circled the area for about forty minutes and couldn't find anymore sign. Eric said the shot was a little high.
