Looks like we are back at it again.

Last years Team Members check in here if you plan to help out again.

New members looking for a Team are more then welcome to jump it. Prob the easiest team besides Team Socialize and Team Eat all I can.

We provide Trash cans through out the park with liners, soap and paper towels in the restrooms. Periodically change out a trash bag and stack trash for the end of the night.

I came down very ill last year on Friday night and without some of yall it never would have got done.

I dont plan on getting sick this year but sure would like to see a bigger team put together.

Other then mostly slacking through out the day and eating food and sharing fellowship most of our work is at the end of the night taking most of the trash somewhere. Walking the grounds and picking up litter and making sure we leave the place cleaner then we found it.

We talked about a dumpster rental or some sort of container but due to costs and lack of funds it is almost impossible to do that. Id love to be able to work something out like that so we dont have to carry it away from the park but that will only happen with lots of contribution to this team.

The place where everything landed last year filled up very quickly and over flowed. Thanks again to "D" for taking the last truck load to his house.

We already have enough trash cans to use from last years set up and I will supply the the other items.

If each team member (if enough this year) and other donations of $20 we might could rent a dumpster and not have to worry this year about WHERE its all gonna go. I will have to get with Mary and check on the chances of even being able to do that.

Anyone with a truck to load trash is ideal for this team.. Plus if you like sitting around talking, eating and doing minimal work

The recycling thing is almost impossible. Everyone was too drunk last year to just find a trash can much less figure out which is which

HAVE to be on a team........No

Any team would appreciate the help though. But you can just come and hang out and enjoy all the food and fun.

If I calculated and guest at all their charges correctly, looks like we can get a 40 cubic roll off for around $300..

Now the issue will be if the city will allow us to drop a dumpster for the weekend because they will have to drop it off Friday and pick it up on Monday.

Thinking this will be the biggest issue.

I'm in for a donation, although I would hate for a dumpster to take up valuable party space.

The city does contract with a company to come clean the park the next day. Two guys showed up about 10:00am in a regular van, emptied trashcans and blew the parking lot.

They didnt empty anything out of those cans because I made sure I took all of those bags as well. NOW they might have had to put a bag back in

You and Courtney Helped load up last year. Yall know how much trash it is and how many trips it takes and what you know who's dumpster looks like afterwards.

Only a matter of time before this becomes a issue. Mine as well go ahead and get it taken care of.

Might have all the issues worked out. Tried this last year but we could not get the funds together..

Waiting to hear back from him but trying to set up for a guy to show up at dark with a 16 foot trailer to load all of the trash on. It will only be about $200

We are already half way there. This should be easy

Hopefully this will all work out and NO ONE will have to carry any trash off this year and years to come

Plans have been set in stone for the guy to come with his trailer and haul off all of the trash at dark...

We need to recycle. I think we are probably throwing a couple hundred bucks away. I bet we could come up with a good cause to donate t.
we can put 4 or 5 boxes out with can crushers and do pretty well.

The Team Tailgate thread was started in the Bownanza 2011 forum. The mods closed all the threads in that forum. I sent the Mayor a PM and she moved the thread andre-opened it. Thanks again for all you do Mary!

I'm only used to lifting 12oz at a time but I'll give some trash bags a try! Count me in for Team Sanitation if you got the room. We can use my truck too if necessary.

I think each "team" should donate for a dumpster. Then the cost would be spread out among the teams.

If it comes down to it then I will be hitting up the other teams for a donation. But we had min cost out of our pocket last year for this team and this year since we already have all the stuff left over that we need from last year its just $20 a person for trash haul off.

I know the other teams put out way more money then that on food. So I dont want to ask unless I have too.

BUT this team was created last year to put a effort towards containing the trash in the walking areas and bathrooms to try and keep the park clean as we went along through out the day. Some how by the end of the night we ended up with most of teams trash in one pile and that was not really the plan.

So its just best to pay for haul off and no one has to worry about what they are going to do with it and no one gets mad if trash ends up in someones dumpster.

It will all be taken care of.
