Default Venison Broccoli Bake

Here is a great 30 minute prep dinner that is sure to please

Venison Broccoli Bake

You can use any meat you choose, I'v made it with chicken when venison gets in low supply.

1-1 1/2 lbs of cubes venison, chicken, or meat ya want
1 family size(28oz) can Cream of Mushroom soup
1 Box of Stove top stuffing (any flavor is good)
1 large crown of Broccoli
1 cup of milk
1 12oz pkg of cheese (which ever you like best)

Preheat oven to 350

Grease a 9 X 12 Pyrex bakin dish

In a large bowl add the dry mix of the stuffing, 1 can of soup and 1 cup of milk, cream all together and set aside to blend
Brown venison in skillet till still pink inside, (cook chicken completely)
Chop broccoli into small bite size pieces

In that large bowl soup mixture add broccoli, and one half of the cheese in the package, add venison stir and coat completely. Once mixed add bread crumbs from the stuffing. At this point mixture will be start to get stiff just fold till mixed well.
Scoop out in Pyrex dish, do not pack mixture in dish just smooth out and make even in the dish

Bake in oven for 35 minutes, at 35 minutes pull out dish, add rest of the cheese, turn off oven and put back in for 5 minutes to melt cheese.

Serves 4-6. Be careful, broccoli inside will be hot, let set 10 minutes before serving.

You'll be able to wash the dish afterwards there won't be any VBB left over...........it's that good.

I have a ton of venison chili packages I need to do something with. We already have something in the crock pot for tonight, but I'm thinking this will be tried for tomorrow!

I hope it turns out as good as this sounds even if I use the chili meat!

Got it in the oven now! Sorry, I forgot to take step by step pics but I'll try to get one of the finished product!

BTW, I got the cheap store brand stuffing mix and it didnt have bread crumbs in it, so after I put the mixture in the baking dish I sprinkled the top with some Panko bread crumbs I had in the pantry.

Just out of the oven!

I'll post a pic of it on the plate in a few minutes!

Looks good.

However, your avatar has me a bit scared to taste it,
concerned about "spash-back" off that PETA logo.

It was really good!

I used chili meat instead of stew meat, and I used a bag of frozen broccoli (thawed before putting it in).
I also got the store brand stuffing mix..it was cornbread stuffing.

Other than that...just followed the recipe as written and it turned out perfect!
