Maybe we prayed TOO much for water.. (Pic Heavy)
This is the Venustiano Carranza Dam or Don Martín in Coahuila, the Salado river takes its water from this dam. After this dam's water was released, the town of Anahuac was flooded to almost disappear like Guerrero Viejo in Tamaulipas which was flooded when Falcon Lake was built.
Another picture of the dam Another one at Don Martín Curious watchers The law, serve and protect. They got nice police trucks in Coahuila! This is the first place Ronnie gets when coming to Mexico to issue his permit. Looks like you are going to need a snorkel my friend! LBS employee watches the flooded work of several years, the new roads at the bridge on the american side. Bridge 1 gettin' touched by the water Good morning river Lots of trash in the water Laredo flooded Lots of curious watchers in Nuevo Laredo.. I can see my house from this view! At your left is the ancient River Drive Mall, named this way since it was near the banks of the Rio Bravo, well.. now you literally have to drive the River to get there! All the lamps you see below belong to a small park located near the river.. it is now under water. Bridge 1 is the closer one, beyond it, it's Bridge 2 (Juarez-Lincoln) The big add on the top left says "How about that?" This mall is almost brand new... will need some work after this. Lots of wine, whiskey, tequila and scotch lost.. oh and tobacco People working hard at the bridge taking everything they can off the bridge to avoid further damages from logs getting stuck. Not looking good The church tower on the left stares at the river as it remembers their last encounter back in 1960's Bridge 1 getting waves Somebody save the burro! The lamps mark the middle of a 4 lane boulevard that goes along the river line. This is the second time in my life that I see water touching the boulevard and surely never this much. Looks like some people need to cut down on tortillas de harina Can you say beach? Not looking good There are a few non permanent farms along the river banks.. these pinkies made it out safely Looking for higher grounds Water reaching further on the boulevard This part is not covered yet but very soon to be And they just can't stop feeding... I wish I had my bow! Covered the first two lanes here. Spreading up further more This is from Laredo TX.. Many cars were reached by the water.. a few were lucky to be rescued Yup.. nothing wrong with your eyes.. stop rubbing 'em These didn't make it STOP!! STOP!! But the water didn't stop I wonder where did these boxes come from A few truckers didn't have a good day Need a winch! More flooding I hope the guy in green isn't asking the police for his citizenship papers! Ouch.. there goes the Thermo Not good at all  I'd say a whole freight line was totaled here. Water reaching houses in Laredo TX Another one from LTX Back to Bridge 1 again These are all the pieces pulled from Bridge 1.. they will be installed again after the river goes back to normal The river flooding the Rio Hotel's parking lot View from Mexico View over Bridge1 from Mexico I can't believe those guys are standing there... water covered all that area completely in the other pics Bridge 2 had it close... they didn't completely close it.. but they will allow only 100 vehicles at a time in the bridge. Bridge 1 driveway flooded Mexican customs rescue a pup. This little dude had a trip from way upriver. This is the Marte R. Gómez dam, also known as Sugar Lake Lot's of water dropping there Lots of water indeed

just up the raod from the dam I do not suggest trying this either unless of course you have the right headgear Not sure what this part of the world did to anger the rain Gods, but its a long way from over.

We had one employee that had to evacuate and we shut all of our operations yesterday. I will not be in the area until Monday after making my way through Dr and EP. The highway between those two is open again, for now.

water management in all the resevoirs is so "important"..The kids in school taking their Hydrology classes need to study this event and learn from it.Awesome recap Henry. rained 3 inches again last night..Farmers are running along the levees opening closed gates so water drains before the floodway fills..thanks for the pics
