I've got some from Cabela's that I've had for a couple years now, so far so good. They were on sale and thats the real reason I bought them. Been thinking about gettin a new pair though. Was at the store the other day and saw some from Lacosse that looked pretty darn spiffy.

Ive got a pair of Cabelas also...there OK, but I also have a pair of Danner low top hikers.. thinking about adding some type of snake guards cause the boots are SO much more comfortable. Youll probably get alot of recomendations for Chippewas and others!

I have Rocky lace-ups, I like how I can wear them inside or outside my hunting pants. I replaced the factory laces with parachute cord and they're a lot easier to lace/tie and keep knotted. What I don't like is they do not have the ankle support like my Danner Pronghorns and I'm hunting up and down hillsides out here. Never been struck by a rattler so I can't say how well they really work.

They are made by the same people, but are a completely different boot. I had two different pairs of Chips and they were both very uncomfortable. I'm on my second year on my Justin's, and they are still in great shape and are as comfortable now as the day I bought them. For my feet, the Justin's are MUCH better than the Chips.

Anyone have experience with these:

I tried a pair of these on recently at Acadamy and was very pleased with the comfort, very similar to the Danners.

I have the 15 inch tall Rocky Low Country snake boots.I usually dont remember them until I'm already out to the place that I'm gonna look for rattlesnakes but I have tested them out and they really do stop a snakes fangs. The only bad thing about them is that they do get kinda hot after a while. You might look into the Snake Proof Gaiters too.A buddy of mine has some and he really likes them.

Redhead Bayou zip ups for me. Just bought my second pair for 90 bucks. First pair lasted 4 or 5 years. Tried the chippewas but they just never got comfortable to me. The good thing about the redheads is they're waterproof.

Bought three pairs when they quite making them. Found out they are making them again but are a darker color. Like wearing tennis shoes. I work on a ranch in South Texas and wear them everyday. If you have big calves they are the way to go.

I wear Danner Jackals, 17" high lace up. They have a moc type footbed and sole that is very quiet. Comes in handy since I hunt on the ground. I've had them several years now.
