Three things I learned from GRXH:

              1) Sackett is a dang good cook, Mrs. Sackett is a pretty lucky woman.

              2) Never mess with Wildman's boat, he'll run down the river wide open just to catch up with you and chew you a new one.

              3) There are hogs in Granger, your name just has to be CRod in order to get lucky enough to shoot 'em.

Had fun, looking forward to next year.

Had a great time once again this year. Fridays weather was questionable but after getting camp settled we went to our spots. After getting settled in location and getting walked up on by another hunter I thought it wasnt gonna happen so I sat down indian style on the ground facing down the trail. At about 6:10 I heard twigs snapping and a hog running along the ridge and down towards me, I quickly stood up and watched as the hog ran to the brush in front of me, slowed down and then popped out, staring at me and quartering slightly I shot thru the brush aiming for just behind his head, as the arrow hit him he turned and ran away from me with the arrow behind his head and out behind his ribs on the opposite side. About 20 seconds after he ran I heard a sqeel. I waited for 15 minutes and went to were I heard the sqeel and was lucky enough to find him there. He was very tasty thanks to Sackett.

I had a great time and loved sharing a fire with my blood brothers.

                Special thanks goes to,

Muzzy and Texasfirefighter (Team ******) thanks for all the help. Enjoyed hunting with you both and hope to enjoy many more memories soon.

Sackett for the great cooking and keeping 15 men happy and fed.

Wildman for the laughs in the river LOL

Rat for skinning and gutting our meal and showing all of us "The Gutless Wonder" Thanks for the laughs.

Paintman and Grinderboy for the laughs and the Gorilla LOL

And to everyone who caught fish...great eating!!

Cant wait till the meat and potatoes hunt!!

Thanks for the hammock Rat. It was great hunting with your fellas again. For those who did not make it, you missed a piece of History. Hog on the ground, Hog on the ground!

Dirtymike thanks for your help finding that ladder. Rhendricks it was fun talking with you. Semper Fi.

crod888 thanks for the pork. We ahd as much pork as fish this year.

Doug sorry you had things come up this year. Next year is just around the corner.

Who was that fat guy with the longbow and pretty blue feathers? Man, I need to drop some pounds, not in bow weight either.

Almost got a shot at a trophy mountain gorilla. Maybe next year.

Danny, sorry for getting the "Princess" muddy, but thanks for the ride to Taylor park. That is a decent hike.

Made record time getting back home in 2 hrs 25 min. No traffic.

Next year I HAVE to make this trip. Looks like a blast. You hammock campers are tougher than me! No food I can take. Sleeping in a sling just isn't going to happen for me. Well at least not the first night.
