Default Mountain Lion Sightings......

I thought it would be interesting to list the Texas counties you have seen Mountain lions in to get an unscientific idea of their range. LOL - no black cats please.

Where have you seen them and how many have you seen?

I will go first.......

Upton county - 2 sightings.

I see them daily in Wood County, but mostly we have the miniature strain, with the multi-colored coats.
I've never seen the standard mountain lion though.

I have seen them in Pecos, Brewster, Medina, & Webb. The last one in Webb, we was sitting in my golf cart on a sendero waiting on the dark to come on a TBH group hog hunt. Another TBHer (TCutter) was with me and we watched a big male lion cross two separate senderos. I took off in the brush ahead of where the cat was going after the second sendero to try to get a shot....... to no avail, I never saw him in the brush.
