    A little rainy day BBQ...

Woke up in the pre-dawn to the sound of rain on the roof and it's been sloppy all day...I don't do "sitting around the house" well and finally decided to fire up the pit...

Decided to do some smoked meat loafs and a couple boston butts for pulled pork...I have the beef smoked meatloaf recipe in the TBH recipe section...

Started slicing and dicing with the ingredients...

Then shaped the loafs...that's beef on the left and turkey/cheddar on the right...

Well nothing like a little rain to make BBQing interesting...fortunately I got a big bed of coals built and had it choked back before the rain started..just added a little mesquite and opened the vents up a little and it's still holding around 225...that's steam coming off of the pit from the rain...

Well, I know what goes on the Egg next.

This was on the Egg last night.

                      Steelhead Trout
                      Bacon wrapped asparagus
Cored out tomato filled with a mix of hand grated parmesan and garlic pepper

Any chance of getting a picture of the entire pit?

Wife picked it up at HEB. Blanco/1604 I think.

Chunked a handful of dry cherry wood chips for a little added flavor as well.
