Just an update on my thread “I screwed up”. I took my 73 to the gunsmith to see about getting my barrel realigned with the receiver. He called me and said the barrel should have been torqued to about 30ft/lbs but he literally could turn the barrel in the receiver with his hand. He’s going to raise the metal some on the receiver and torque the barrel to the proper specs. I should have it back today.

Did he say how that happened? Come from the factory not torqued correct? -
It had to of came from the factory untorqued. The Chalenge is getting everything lined up and getting a decent torque on it. He hasn’t said it was ready so I’m hoping he’s not having an issue :-lComment
