Matagorda/Brazoria County rut??

Anyone noticed the rut starting yet? I'm in matagorda county and usually by now the deer disappear from my cameras with rut in full swing. I saw a bachelor group of bucks leaving my house tonight. Wondering if the eclipse/Harvey had anything to do with affecting their rut. Would be nice if they'd wait until Sept. 30!

Saw some chasing in Brazoria county but nothing like years past. I'm sure all this water put our deer in serous stress mode.

Started seeing bucks running does a little here in last few days. West Colombia area.

I saw a buck chase a doe in front of me on my way to work yesterday morning. First sign I've seen.

In the past four days I've seen bucks full on fighting in Sugar Valley and Selkirk. I've also watched bucks chasing does hard from the WC side of Pledger through the back of Newgulf. It's weird because it's business as usual for the deer I've seen in Ashwood

WT I'm right in between sugar valley and vv. That's where I saw them in bachelor groups last night. Guess it might be starting up!

I saw a buck following a doe this morning around 5:15 on my way to work.
