Arizona ash log

I just split an Arizona ash log into staves will it make a good bow? Need some direction on preparing it and help will appreciate it. I'm sure Arvin can help . But thanks for help

Ash is supposed to make a decent bow...make sure there arent any emerald borers in it they will turn it to sawdust.

Ash makes an okay bow. A little less cast than hickory and takes a little more set from what I remember. But it is a white wood. Use a flat bow style with a wide profile and it will do fine. To get a lot of cast, back it with rawhide or a slat of hickory.
