Deer Age?

Can anyone give me a guestimate of what this deer ages? This buck is showing up at my Uncle's feeder. I'd pass on it because it looks too young, but he's worried about someone else shooting it. (We've got hunters all around us, and guys to the north of us that will shoot anything that moves) We're only on 125 acres and in a county with no antler restrictions. Any opinions would be helpful. This is our first year on the lease and I told him he needs to wait and see what kind of deer we have (this may be a small one for the area; who knows).

While we're at it, what do you all say about this deer? I'd venture to guess the same or a little older? Maybe 4 -4.5 at the most?

I used to argue with my grandfather all the time about the if I don't shoot it someone else will. One thing is for sure, if you shoot it, there is a guarantee it won't get any older. Let them walk and hope for the best. They both look 3.5 to me.
