    Best Ranch Shirt?

With the temperatures as hot as they have been, I was wondering which shirts you recommend for working at the ranch or outdoors. Not looking for a fishing shirt unless it is durable. It needs to be light, cool, comfortable, collared, and either long or short sleeve. Let me know.

I am partial to the "fishing shirts". Very cool, lightweight, and long sleeve/collared for sun protection. I imagine anything more durable would be very hot. That said, I've never had any problems with durability. I will add, though, that we have camo PHG shirts made with the ranch logo. I can see how the typical colors you'd wear fishing (white, sky blue, etc) would get pretty dingy pretty quickly.

I've been wearing these for the last couple of years. They keep you cool and have held up very well:

I have found that a light cotton T shirt is about as good as it gets.

I work in nothing but the fishing shirts. Plenty durable for me. If I wear them out, I'll get more.

I always wear a t-shirt too. But, my neck takes a beating. What brand fishing shirts?

I love my fishing shirts, but I can't imaging wearing them at the ranch (I wear them to work). They'd be grease stained and holes torn in them in no time.

I buy shirts from thrift stores. I look for pearl snap 100% cotton long sleeve. Light colors are best. Otherwise, I just wear t-shirt and a bandana around my neck
