    Older model 870 Wingmaster value?

Picked up two 12 gauge 870 Wingmasters at an estate sale. They have short barrels, hold extra shells and have rifle sights. One of them is marked for 2 ¾ while the other is market for 2 ¾ or 3”. Both of them have your typical signs of use.

I was looking on gun broker trying to determine a value before I lean them in the corner for home protection, but really don’t know what I am looking at. Any one have an idea on the value of these guns?

I laid my 870 with 28” barrel next to them for comparison.

yup... Looks like a whole lot of fun. What you have there is called the Remington 870 express Home Defense, Usually come with 18 or 20 inch barrels, and hold anywhere from 6-7rds...

My guess would be in the 200-300 dollar range... The new ones sell for 350.

I saw the new 870 express home defense with plastic stocks at Academy this weekend for $269 or $299.

Saw one similar at the gun show (with rifled barrel) for $375 and believe that to be real close based on what I know. Gramps said it was on on the price and he deals in these things a lot more than I do.

These are better than the new ones. I think they'd sell for $325 all day.
