2018 saltwater fishing thread

Trout were no where to be found so we caught bull-reds all day on Saturday. Made a run offshore on Sunday, James’ new X3 did great in 2-3’s with the occasional 4-5’.

Lol you and me both! They do have some serious torque and good mid range. Been happy with mine so far.

Thanks man. You get the 10yr warranty? I got this one from the Ron Hoover salesman and he purchased during the 10yr warranty promo last year. It had about 9 left so that sold me. I added the 5yr to the electric and its like bumper to bumper and that's priceless on these **** money pits

You are def right about that! **** boats will kill you with the upkeep. Yes sir got the 10 year warranty...hard to beat.

I'm not sure about the next couple days, but it was rough and muddy as can be this morning in Sargent.

I'm in Corpus the next few days and my 5 year old nephews are wanting to go fishing. I've done some pier fishing at Keepers pier in Port A, but that's about it. Can anyone give me any other pointers or has anyone been to Bob Hall lately?

I would go to the packery jetties and throw live shrimp under a cork, should catch some fish.
