Our phones will not work, but cameras work fine with an antenna 10-12 feet in the air.

The Verizon cameras work better than the ATT camera.

This picture was sent today. Phones do not work in this spot.

Stolle, which Covert is that? May try to run one or two if they still work, my concern was that signal would be too weak.

I can pick up a bar or two of signal on the top of 2 or 3 mountain tops in the ranch but not anywhere I would want a cam. It's a haul to get to those spots. Im assuming an antenna in the 10' high is stronger than a cell phone 10' high?

Is the antenna for the trail cam something you added or does it come with a cellular trail cam?

I know it's an expensive chance to take. Maybe start with a used one.

They are aftermarket antennas from Amazon.

What a weekend! I brought one of my best buds to the ranch, TBHr RoosterCogburn, to do some work and hunt for his first axis. Well everything unfolded beautifully on his birthday yesterday. Long story short- we spotted this axis from the top of the mountain about 550 yards away with 20 minutes of light left. We bombed down the mountain as quickly and quietly as we could (except Jeremy fell into a cactus). The rest is in the pics

Spring is quickly approaching

Glassing. The pasture to Jeremy's left is where we ended up finding the buck.

I wish we had a better picture of where we were sitting. Basically a natural rock auditorium at the top of a mountain. Here is part of our view, I spotted the buck feeding in a pasture we burned last fall, and off we went

I hope these don't upload in a large format and apologize if they do. Edit: Looks good on my computer.

Trying to teach myself how to use my new digital camera- although I'm hardly even an amateur, it has proven to be a lot of fun thus far. These are all near the HWY 41 and HWY 335 intersection.

We will be up there Friday night and leaving Tuesday mid-morning. Hope to get my daughter her first turkey. She hit one last weekend and all we found were feathers, no blood, meat, fat. She's small framed and I have her shooting my .22 mag very well out to 65 yards. I wish I could get her shooting a 20 guage, but I think it'd be too much recoil for her.
