SO how much money do we save for every day it is shutdown?

Edit:.... After a quick google it cost more for them to close down than stay open. Only our gov't could pull this off.

Screw the Democratic party, screw their supporters and all the whining b!tches that are protesting. It won't last past Feb 1st. Once they don't get their wellfare checks they will be telling their Dem *** leaders to do something no matter who they leave out. I know I'm ranting but I'm sick of the Dems sorry excuse for government that they are trying to force on us. You lost the election get over it and live with it. If I hurt your feelings then just tell me so I'll know your not my kind of people.

None, since they always backpay. However, there are many who live paycheck to paycheck. Military is still functional, just their wives are awaiting their money.

True. I was furloughed from 12/16/95 to 1/6/96 while working for the Forest Service. It was a great vacation during hunting season. Went back to work and was paid back pay. What a waste.

As a federal employee and taxpayer, it was aggravating.

I understand your point and frustration. But keep in mind the flip-side... I showed up to work today. So did hundreds of thousands of other military members, federal LEOs, and first responders who understand their duty while they are technically working for free and the fact they'd be counted as AWOL if they didn't show up, even though they'll miss a paycheck (mortgage, car payment, medical bills, etc.) if this thing goes past Thursday.

Listening to Chuck Schumer makes me start tasting bile...gonna have to throw a party when that jack wagon leaves office.

I really do not understand the voting public...how this dreamer deal which doesn't even have a deadline for a couple months is being used today for politics against Trump should have all voters fuming & be a backlash on the dems if there was any sort of common sense?? Just the simple fact the dreamers are a priority to them beyond the military / BP & other issues the shutdown touches doesn't pass the smell test that all should see is petty politics. They would have had a better argument if they would tackle & threaten the shutdown when the dreamer deadline was actually at hand??

There's an obscure game going on in the background, played by the longtime politicians (McConnell and Schumer). McConnell wants to run right up to the deadline on DACA so the republicans can force concessions on other things from the democrats if they want to keep DACA. Schumer knows this, so he's making a gambit, which is to shut down the government so he can try to force the republicans to keep DACA without giving up much. The reason Schumer's play is a gambit, is because he's hoping the public blames the Republicans which strengthens his position. However, if democrats catch the blame, then he's in an even worse position than before.

Yes, but it's been said that he collaborated with the Nazis. He wouldn't have been the only Jewish person to do so. Heck, here they largely support a party that as policy continually attempts to undermine the only Jewish nation in the world.

His fellow dems have already turned on him all over Twitter and social media. Calling him a traitor to DACA and all that. Pretty funny when they are publically for citizens of other countries and against their own.

Well their own citizens are growing tired of them and don't care for their politics anymore. They have to import a new voting base that they can lie to and get on their side as soon as they get here. They've admitted this on national television more than once over the past few weeks.

Do you read any of my posts?
They are always filled with data and links to credible sources of where I got the data.

I bet you really do think Obama is a Muslim and is a top member of the Muslim brotherhood and he just quietly tiptoed passed alllll the cheeks and balances of our national security teams.

I googled it and only thing I saw was some GOP Rep from Arizona threw the accusation on the table and there it sat.

If you believe Soros is a Nazi sympathizer, why won't you believe Trump got help from the Russians?
At least there are hundreds of threads of leading towards the latter complete with Trump's aides already pleading guilty of actions leading towards such.
Heck, even his own son has emails back and forth with the person and acknowledged he had dinner with her.

I need more proof on Soros.

Heck half Cullman county Alabama said it's widely known Roy More liked pre-teens.
Even DISTRICT ATTORNEYS went on record saying they knew that.
But 90% of TBH stayed vigilant and supported ol Roy.

It wont. Both parties have figured out they can make more and do less by keeping the country at each other's throat. Tribalism has taken over and all they have to do is sit back and stir the pot.
