Eagle Dynamics/DCS world is releasing the A-10C II

I've been learning the A-10C (VERY complex aircraft) for a few months now. I am still blown away at the realism, physics and environment modeling in the sim (this is no video "game") And VR mode is amazing!

I can't wait for this release. The helmet mounted sighting system in particular.

There are moments in that trailer that I can't tell whether it's a sim or a real life.

I love that! At 0:15 in the video you can see a little black box that sits kind of under the pilot's right elbow. That is a digital video air data recorder (DVADR), a box that I sold them years ago. Yeah, I've seen some pretty cool mission videos

VR requires VERY high end system... CPU in particular. (they haven't quite optimized their engine for multicore processors)

I run it non VR mode on an Intel i5 7600, 48MB RAM(16 should be enough), 1080ti video and NVME drive... and get 100+ frames per second at maxed graphic settings and 1080p monitor.

That's all in game footage. The camera angles offer awesome footage for after mission saved clips. Lighting is important too (time of day).

The MFCD you see in cockpit (TGP and Maverick camera is very realistic)

I've run my system on my 4k tv a few times and it was like a religious experience
