    Poop ID- Rabbit or Deer

I have not seen any deer tracks on this property, but the trails seem to be there. Tons of coyotes, and tons of rabbits everywhere.

Looks very fresh but was also misting when picture was taken

What sort of poop is this, .22 LR in the pile for comparison

The hershey kiss shape throws me off. Only hunters can discuss poop in this much detail..

Why are the pellets hershey kiss shaped and not rounded at both ends?

Deer have oval shape to them or sometimes clumped after being bedded for sometime. Rabbits always round pellets. You at least had one deer on the property.

Yes thats what I have heard and noticed as well. Found some deer pellets a half mile away on the property and theyw were all clumped up, and deep poop everywhere. In process of establishing feeders

rabbits don't process the food they eat as efficiently as deer (that's why they will at times eat it and digest a second time) so you will often see undigested pieces of grass in the very round poop balls
