The first year of the restrictions i had a shot on what i found out would have been the biggest buck of my life till now. It's not too often i get my dad into the woods these days, but i cherish each moment I do. We were hunting some public land in a spot i scouted out, but to make a long story short. Buck surprised me, and when i got him to stop at 75 yards(was still rifle hunting) i couldn't see the left side of the rack. Right side was 4 points with great mass, and atleast 4 inches past the ear. I couldn't ethically take the shot without seeing the other side. From my dads vantage point he could see the other side. He was matching on both sides. I missed a chance at a 140+ class deer, but i did the right thing. Better safe than sorry, and that sucker looks awful close. The law is the law.

Doug 13'' maybe not but in my opinion cull for sure. Nice unusal deer though.
