    Crockett National Forest question

I noticed in my 2008 Public hunting lands book that the lands in the Crockett National Forest are not listed anywhere. Can y'all tell me what the deal is with hunting the DCNF?

Only Texas Parks and Wildlife's WMA's are in the APH book. Is there a WMA in the Davy Crockett NF?

I don't know. I am going to call the USFS office tomorrow. I am in the process of closing on some property that borders the NF on 2 sides and want to know what the regs are.

Looking at a map of Davy Crockett it appears the Alabama Creek WMA is located in the southeast portion of the NF. You would need the AHP if you hunt on the WMA. Otherwise you would just need your hunting license and archery stamp. I use to hunt on the far northwestern corner of Davy Crockett back in the late 70's-early 80's. It got too crowded and I gave it up.
