anybody hunt in caddo lake wma? i've been out there several times boating,camping,canoeing, camping on goat island and never seen anything. i stayed on goat island by myself for 4 days and didn't even see 1 squirrel. i've camped in the state park a couple times and didn't even see 1 deer. that was strange as i always see them in campgrounds looking for a handout ! seems to be a duck-only place to me. any info would be greatly appreciated.i'm taking my daughter out there camping next month and she'd like to go hunting too.

I spend alot of time on Caddo by boat and have seen tons of deer and squirrels there. I am not always in the WMA, but I spend some time there. I know some guys that have success there, but the easy access areas get alot of pressure. Everyone that does well is spending alot of time scouting and is walking a long way to get away from the crowds.
