I got my wife into bow hunting 4 years ago. We got her a Bear Apprentice pink camo bow. Her 1st season she took a nice big doe, 2nd season took a big spike, 3rd year we didn't get a chance to bow hunt. Then this season her 4th she hit a home run.
She had told me that morning that she did not feel comfortable trying to shoot a big buck thinking she would not get pass through, and just injure one. She did not want that to happen on a big buck. So we agreed if I had the opportunity to take a big one I should shoot it if the chance came along. We are 1 paid spot on the lease so we share the buck each year and this was her year.
My sit I saw a small basket 8, and a skinny doe. As I went to go pick her up I didn't see her at first but then I found her standing in a bunch of down trees maybe 30 yards from her stand. Seeing the huge smile I figured she got another doe, or spike. When I pulled up I was floored seeing this big 10 laying there and hearing her say I got full pass though. That is a sight I will never forget. That pink bow and 100 grain Muzzy did the job. The last photo was taken so it is not one of those push it to the camera to make it appear bigger than it is. So I used the 4 wheeler to give it perspective. Great job babe. Thanks for reading along.
