    New Guy Checking in

Just wanted to introduce myself. I have been bow hunting off and on for 10 years or so but had never killed anything until this year. I had the pleasure to go on a cull hunt in San Angelo and got 2 Bucks and a Turkey with my bow. After being around a group of guys that do nothing but bow hunt I felt my set up was lacking a bit and bought a few upgrades that I hope will better my chances of making a good clean shot every time. My current set up as of now with the new site and stabilizer is Mathews Z7 70/30 With D loop New string this year, Apex Covert Pro site, Bee stinger Hunter extreme kit (I have all three 10,8 and 6 to play with) QAD HDX, Gold tip Pro Hunters at 28in using Rage hypodermic 100 gr. I will get to return to San Angelo next year, but I loved the Action and up close experience so much I want to put more effort into Bow Hunting back home in East Texas. I have been looking around and enjoy the wealth of information on here and plan on building a octagon blind for bow hunting and hope to hone my skills. I am open to any and all help. Thanks for having me

        Welcome to the fire
A good clean kill does not depend on technology so don't allow that to consume you.
People with extremely basic setups have great seasons all the time.
All you need to be successful is plenty of time in the woods

Welcome. And like flywise said, you dont need the newest fastest bow to make a good shot. Your setup will work just fine.
