Looks like my boy will be playing a baseball tournament there the weekend of the 24th/25th of this month. Any recommendations on where or where NOT to stay? Also any good places to hang out/eat/drink between and after the games?

It's my home. I don't know a whole heck of a lot, but what I do know is Mexican food. Flores works for keeping kids busy on the playground while you drink a margarita. However, if you want good Mexican food go to El Rey, west side of town next to Doller General. Overall, Dripping Springs seriously lacks in decent reatraunts.

Best Mexican food in town is at the old diamond shamrock (2 pump gas station on the south side of 290 across from Orielly's). Honestly not a lot of good places to eat in town. Railroad BBQ is owned by an old school TBH'r, food is decent and he always a special going. Hill Country Pizza next to HEB is pretty good. Other than that I would have to recommend Whataburger for meals. I would try and book a room at the Holiday Inn. It is 3 minutes from the field.
