    Texas Recurve Championship - April 28th, 29th

Mark your calendars! We always make sure to schedule this shoot on a weekend when there are no TBOT events so there is not a conflict. You will notice on the flyer that we have made a few small format changes. Please spread the word in your corner of the trad community. Send me a PM if you would like to be emailed a PDF of the flyer for easier distribution.

    Thanks!

    John

    I’ll be there!!

Don’t like the “You can shoot as many rounds as you like to improve your score.” idea, but it’s your shoot, so I’ll play by your rules!

Can’t wait, as Cowtown always sets great courses for us to shoot!

The 'improve your score" is something new we added - we will see how it goes. Some will like it and some probably won't. (I'm hoping it will increase the number of rounds shot) You will be glad to know that we got rid of the "one buckle" rule.

          Two questions:

          (1) Define adjustable rest. Does that rule mean "no center shot adjustment"?

          (2) On the scoring: Will you average the score of how many rounds shot, or do you just turn in & count the best scoring round?

I guess my question is sort of like Ricks. The scores card turned in last is counted or the highest one shot is picked ?
Say someone shoots a good score then tries to improve and shoots a lower score does he get to pick the higher one ?

Shoot as many rounds as you like - the highest score will count. It is an unconventional format for sure, but we thought this would add an interesting wrinkle and encourage people to shoot more rounds. If somebody has a crappy 1st round, instead of throwing their bow in the truck and going home in a huff, they can just pay $15 and take another crack at it! (I have a feeling it will result in the same familiar names at the top of the pile)

My money is on you. Canoes can't run very fast.

Yeah but I'm in the anchor craft. Have to stay at the back with the slowest canoe from our troop. It's a thankless task but at least I don't have to break a sweat.
