    Water bucket

I have been thinking about placing a standing water bucket near the feeder this year. The thing that concerns me is the threat of mosquitoes and other insects making it a breading ground. in order to battle this should i place it in the sun? Does anyone have any thoughts?

What do you mean by "bucket"? Will it be supplied by a well, storage container, etc?

This is alot to sort through but there are some great ideas for water sources here...http://discussions.texasbowhunter.co...ad.php?t=36871

Blue stone is one answer, also known as copper sulfide.
But not to much, you don't wanna taint the meat.

I hunt uo near Sna Angelo. I tried a 110 gallon tank last year. Only one pond on lease. If you have to fill it without out a well its to much trouble. Water was gone in about three weeks with no rainfall.

I placed a water trough at my feeder location in Del Rio with a water tank supply thinking I could pull the deer from the wind mills but instead I gave the coons a jacuuzi and the Buzzards a perch to stand on!! Very dissapointed to say thye least!
