Default RIP Sophie beagle

There are things that can make a grown man cry. This AM was one of those things. RIP Sophie beagle. 8 years is way too short for a dog's life. We will miss you. Chronic Pancreatitis is very destructive for pets.

This morning she took a walk along one of the fence lines and low and behold a rabbit shows up and grabs her attention. She just sat and watched it. I thought how appropriate that was since she loved to chase them when we lived on the acreage.

I am not exactly sure how you feel. But I know I lost mine almost two years ago and still think ( cry most times) when I think about her, and that is a daily thing. I am sorry for your loss, let's just hope that we will get to see them again, in the end. Knee mail sent man .

Thanks again all.

Sophie was a replacement pup for the loss of our last cocker spaniel in 2009. My wife had to have another dog so she found Sophie. We decided this time no replacement and she (my wife) is strongly committed and I'm the one wavering this time. Will give it time.

I've had to let a couple go over the last few years. Three of my original rescues are now in doggy heaven. It's a hard thing.

Beagles are such sweet dogs and they can just steal your heart.

If y'all ever decide you want another one, let me know. I plan to have a couple of litters next fall.

Sorry about your Sophie.

Man I hate to hear that. I've got a beagle mix now (think she's a beagle/weiner dog, but who knows) thats getting old and really starting to slow down. She was a tyrant as a pup that I could've killed many times, but oddly enough I kind of miss those days. For the first five years of her life I came home everyday wondering what she got into while I was gone.

Better to have loved and lost, than never loved. Get another sweet pup! your not replacing, your making new memories.
