If guys want help with this join the LSBA and contact your local rep. This is the kind of things the LSBA specializes in. They have go lands open for hunting before and this will give you a louder voice.

Why? No reason not to have a limited lottery type hunt patterned after Hagermans system, there were hunters who vocally opposed a hunt at there one time as well, and most of them owned land that bordered the refuge...

Don't know where this coe is located but hope you joined LSBA. We are in the process of updating our web site. New one should be up and running soon. If you would like to meet some of us our annual awards banquet is June 24 in Grapevine this year. There will be great auction items including some great hunts. Good food and fellowship and more. Check out website for more details.

If you wanna hunt collin county that badly then stop being cheap and start offering to pay. When you ask someone to hunt their property and dont offer to pay they are gonna say no. They dont need the property looked after. They want money. Lavon will never be a draw for deer. Too many public land hunters for hogs and ducks. Get over it and stop whining. Get a deer lease and have good time. Its that easy. Yes it is

And Grayson county, a limited archery hunt will not hurt the resource at Lavon, by the spotlight surveys the deer population is growing every year.

For deer? Yes.

Or any of the dozens of other Corps lakes that have drawn white tail hunts.

Why not? I could be as good (ok, maybe not as good, but close) to what Hagerman is. Granted it would be harder to control being as close to the metromess as it is, but with strict rules and regulations, there's no reason not to start some sort of management plan.

Absolutely, or at least they could kinda model it after their lotto, doesn't have to be as many permits just whatever the biologist determines.

No more pig and duck hunting if it is like Hagerman. Lots of people who hunt pigs out there. Only a few whining because a few big bucks have been killed and they think they should be able to go hunt them.

Grapevine allows pig deer and duck hunting?

Why would allowing a deer hunt disallow pig and duck hunting. It's not a refuge.

And nobody is whining. It's public land with a huntable population of deer. Why shouldn't we be allowed to hunt them?

FYI might keep some hog hunters out of trouble... late rule change

I came across hogs today could have some sausage in my freezer for fall! Thinking about starting a petition! Not enough deer on corps land to hunt but enough deer there to have a large enough poaching?!?? How come me everytime I go by lake office they are there hanging out instead of patrolling?
