Me and wife made a bad purchase ..we purchased a riding lawn mower 2 years ago for $2200 to mow out 10 acres of coastal property she bought. The first trip we realized it wasn't strong enough for the acreage growth. She refuses to sell with the intent that we will have a Saint Augustine grass yard in 20 years when we retire there that we can use it on. I advised that we could sell this mower that has 30ft on the mileage gauge and get some money back....but that is a 100% no go with her. How do I preserve this for 20 years?

Plant st Augustine grass now and use it every year.
Regular usage will be good for it.
Store it inside. -
If you went a little more often, it would be easier to mow.
That's my excuse and since I don't have a trailer I have to haul it down there in my boat.

Even if you sucessfully stored it that long it will likely be very hard if not impossible to find parts when it has the inevitable issues. Sell it. If it makes her feel any better put the money in CD to be used specifically for a mower 20yrs from now...Comment
